<Pt . 1 LITURGY>
Theme : Yoga Liturgy : Mind, Body and Breath
Facilitator : Alison Gray
<Facilitator's Self-Introduction>
I first started doing yoga when I was 15. But it was when I was 32, pregnant and terrified of giving birth that I really started doing it seriously. After giving birth ( very easily ! ) to my son, I found a class that allowed mother's to do yoga with their children. When my son got old enough I started training to teach yoga, specialising in pre-natal and post-natal yoga. I taught mainly post-natal yoga at Shizen tudio in Kichijoji until time constraints forced me o take a break.
In my teaching, and in my own practice, my focus had always been on developing a feeling of being at home in our bodies, on emphasizing that yoga is not gymnastics or a competition, but a way of being more truly ourselves.
